Arkansas

We spent a few days at Hot Springs National Park......although if you want to go in the springs you have to pay the big bucks for the day spa.  Touring the old spas decorated still from the '50's was fun though.
The campground was very nice and a great hike into town along the river.

Dan tried to take a shower but no bueno!

Along Bathhouse Row

Of course......Dan couldn't resist this place!

The Mill has been turned into a restaurant and bar and has used the old parts......very nicely done!

Big Spring National Riverways, Missouri

Big Springs was a last minute suggestion by friends we were going to meet in a few days.  Sure glad we went!  Big Springs is one of three of the largest springs in the country....any one can be the largest on any given day due to water table fluctuations.

A beautiful campground....free at that!  The season had just ended.  They hadn't even turned the water or electricity off yet, and as you can see we had it to ourselves!

The aqua color of the water was like the Caribbean and so clear.  The color does not show well in the pics.

The prettiest little red flowers all over the meadow in this one place.

Missouri State House

We have been enjoying seeing the state  capitols as we travel.  Some are incredibly beautiful and have so much history.  As you can see Fall is starting here.
