New York Finger Lakes area

The Finger Lake region of New York is so beautiful and so much to do, waterfalls everywhere in gorgeous State Parks that were done in the '30's by the CCC.  The stairs made of rock are incredible and steep!!  There are wineries plus distilleries and breweries 3 per mile in many areas.  The 5 lakes are pretty as well.  You could spend a lot of time here, not to mention the great little towns and so much more!  We enjoyed it all...well it would take all summer to do it all!
Watkins Glen

This fall was in the middle of a small town
This one was made into a swimming hole!
Buttermilk Falls State Park.  Mother Nature is amazing.  The rock looked like it had been cut out with almost square corners.

This was quite a steep hike with a LOT of steps!
