Thousand Islands, New York

After fleeing from Hurricane Irene, we lit in the Thousand island region of New York, along the St Lawrence River.  It is quite a beautiful place.  The weather wasn't that good because of the hurricane but nothing to complain about after the "run".

The small town of TI Park was like stepping back in time.  It was such a delight!

Everyone had a boathouse
Boldt Castle that was abandoned 100 yrs ago after his wife died before he could finish it.  Restoration was started in the late 70's and still is not complete!

You couldn't get any closer to Canada than this....but we didn't go in...yet!
